Open Call: Residency Application
The SSNYC-CCA Artist-in-Residence program provides artists access to a communal studio in NYC. This program is for artists who are at a stage in their careers where an intensive residency in ceramics will further their artistic development.
The residency intends to offer the gift of time to work on specific projects, build community connections, and provide resources for project development while enjoying the collaborative nature of a shared studio
The program values and welcomes all individuals as unique persons and artists. SSNYC-CCA does not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender expression, age, disability, or sexual orientation. In addition, our studio is fully wheelchair accessible
Open Call: Curatorial Proposals
SSNYC-CCA invites curators to submit proposals for thoughtfully organized exhibitions with a strong curatorial vision. Proposals should explore contemporary ceramics or engage with ceramic ideas through process, material, concept, art, and design.
Open Call: Pop Up Show Program
SSNYC-CCA invites New York-based artists and SSNYC members to propose solo or group exhibitions for its Pop-Up Show Program. Open to ceramics, pottery, objects, mixed media, textile, fiber, and wearable art, the program offers selected artists a dedicated gallery exhibition, opening reception, and promotion through our website, newsletter, and social media.
Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, with limited exhibition dates available.
Open Call: Workshop Proposals
SSNYC is accepting applications for independent workshop proposals! We provide the studio space, high-quality equipment, and promotional reach—you bring your unique expertise, manage your own business, and keep your student earnings.
Instructors pay a flat fee to have access to studio space and function as independent instructor. You set your own tuition, manage your own logistics, and collect payments directly from your students.
