Open Call: Curatorial Proposals
Sculpture Space, NYC, Center for Ceramic Art
APPLICATION GUIDELINES
The Gallery at Sculpture Space NYC – Center for Ceramic Arts accepts proposals from curators for thoughtfully developed group exhibitions. We support a multiplicity of viewpoints that embrace function, art, and design.
Although the Gallery’s focus is primarily on ceramics, we are open to proposals that might not be ceramic at all, but rather relate to a ceramic idea through process and concept. We are looking for proposals that invigorate what contemporary ceramic work is shown in the New York metropolitan area.
Curatorial proposals should demonstrate a strong organizing principle and clearly articulate the relationship between the exhibition concept and the work of the participating artists.
All proposals will be evaluated by an Exhibition Review Committee made up of an artists panel, in conjunction with the SSNYC-CCA Board.
Duration: Exhibitions will be on view for approximately four weeks.

Installation & Gallery Equipment
Sculpture Space NYC needs to understand the proposed layout and general installation plan for the exhibition. SSNYC will provide available pedestals, tables, and shelves. Curators and participating artists who do not wish to use the available equipment are responsible for providing their own pedestals or tables.
All exhibition layouts and installation plans must be reviewed and approved by SSNYC prior to installation.
